Termination Policy


Types of Termination
  1. Resignation
  2. Disciplinary action or Court sentence
  3. Medically unfit (to be confirmed by a doctor appointed by WOQOD)
  4. Termination of the Contract
  5. Abolishemnt of the position held by the employees
  6. Sentencing of the employee with a penalty, restricting freedom of movement in respect of criminal offense

Termination of Service

WOQOD may terminate the services of any employee, at any given time, for reasons other than disciplinary. A one-month notice is given to the employee in this case.


Entitlements in lieu of the Notice

Upon termination of the Contract, the employee will be entitled to the following:

  1. Renumeration for the fraction of the year, calculated at the rate of the stipulated renumeration for a year of complete service.
  2. Encashment for the balance of leave in the employee's account that the employee did not partake during service for operational reasons. The records for the same should be provided by the immediate supervisor, for the encashment to be made, such an encashment would be calculated on the basis of the last basic salary that the employee received.
  3. One-way ticket to his/her native country.

Resignation
  • WOQOD offers 2 year renewable contracts. Employees who resign within this period have to be replaced at WOQOD's cost and so WOQOD will deduct from your final settlement the cost of your initial recruitment, which covers airfare to Qatar, medical ang training costs.
  • Calcualtions will be as follows:
    • Resignatin within 6 months of joining WOQOD - full amount deducted
    • Between 6 months and 12 months - 75% deducted
    • Between 12 months and 18 months - 50% deducted
    • Between 18 months and 24 months - 25% deducted

End of Service Benefits

The employee will be entitled for End of Service Benefits only after completion of one year of service. The End of Service Benefits will be calculated at the following rates:

  1. Salary for one month for each full year of service.
  2. The End of Service Benefits will be calculated on the basis of the last basic salary received by the employee, and the employee will not be entitled for such a benefit if his/her service was less than one year.
